Developer Asks Delaware County To Change Name To Planet Oasis County

If the developer behind a new multi-billion dollar entertainment district planned for Delaware County gets his way, the county will soon be known as Planet Oasis County, named after the amusement park and resort slated to open in Late 2019.

David Glimcher, the visionary behind the new development, has submitted a proposal to Delaware County Commissioners that, if approved, would require ratification by voters in November 2018.

“Delaware County is a thing of the past,” Glimcher said at a press conference announcing the development. “Planet Oasis is the future. The future always replaces the past. Always. I know that the voters in Delaware County will understand that the re-branding is an important step toward cementing my legacy on this Earth.”
