The annual Fourth of July parade in Delaware, Ohio will go on as planned, but with a longer route to accommodate social distancing guidelines. The regular three mile parade route will now be eighty six miles long and snake throughout the city. Organizers expect the parade to last approximately 40 hours from start to finish. A temporary camp site will be erected at Blue Limestone Park to allow parade participants to rest halfway through their journey. Specialized water transport drones will be deployed to help keep everyone hydrated. Masks will be mandatory for all participants, including horses.
