Downtown Delaware has been working to restore several ghost signs on historic commercial buildings in the city center. Organizers opened the project to designers nationwide, receiving over 125 concept submissions. The pool has been narrowed to 9 finalist designs across two buildings for community consideration: 5 E. William St. and 5 N. Sandusky St.
Organizers say the finalists were selected because they represent a strong blend of historical authenticity, visual impact, and sensitivity to each building’s character.
