Bun’s Restaurant in Delaware is considering changing its iconic signage to something more generic and rudimentary. The owners are tired of having a famous sign and are interested in switching to something that would infuriate everyone.

“We’re just tired of the same old thing. We’re also considering filling our dining room with concrete block seating,” said one of the owners. “It’s more fun to make people mad than to make them happy. We get a kick out of it.”
The restaurant has been a staple in the community for over 158 years, and many residents are outraged at the prospect of losing the spanning arch over spans Winter Street.
“That sign is part of our history,” said one longtime resident. “It would be a shame to see it go.”
The employees of Bun’s Restaurant are also split on the issue. Some think a change would be good, while others feel attached to the current sign.
“I don’t know why they would want to change it,” said one employee. “The sign is part of what makes this place special.”
What do you think? Should Bun’s Restaurant keep its current sign or make a change? Let us know in the comments below!
***UPDATE****
Bun’s has released the following video stating their plans to move ahead with the change despite community backlack. They have included four potential signs and are requesting feedback.

“Why are we changing the sign? Why are we changing the sign?
That is what everybody wants to know.
We have decided to change the sign because nobody wants us to.
Please tell us which sign you hate the most, and we will have it installed.
(First Option)
Here is a classic. We have our name twice just to be more frustrating. Disregard the donut. We will not be serving them.
(Second Option)
This is an Islamic option. It says, “Don’t even ask, because the answer is no.”
(Third Option)
This one really excites me. I can already hear people complaining about it not being spelled correctly. Truly music to my ears.
(Fourth Option)
I am not sure what it is going on with this one, but I believe it translates roughly into, “We are changing our famous sign because we can, fuck you.”
Personally my opinion is to keep the signage as is. History is important & the existing street spanning sign is history still admired. A change just to piss people off is a way to kill your business.
